Floor Trends 2016 from Dmotex Exhibition
Domotex Shanghai is the professional international exhibition of flooring covering, It is hold in end of March every year. People can see the newest and innovative floor products and see the trends of floor development. Most of the flooring suppliers will attend this event. SensseFloor visited exhibition from 22-24th March.
After visiting most of the exhibitors and meeting with some of our customers, we find some trends of floor marketing in 2016-2017:
More international brands focusing China's Floor market. 2016 is a real " imported floor year", A lot of famous floor brand from Europe and USA are all huddled in E1 hall, star shows and beauty model is the main means to attract eyes. But more important thing to distributor is how to get benefit from imported brand. To end users, they are mostly taking care of the real difference between imported brand and local brand.
Absence of most of local brand. Normally in E2 hall is the fighting place of local famous brand like Power decor, Elegant living, Natural... but most of them are absent this year, so that there are not as crowd of previously and it is also tasteless to them.
Customized and innovative flooring become favorite. In this exhibition, innovation and customer experience improvement is the highlight to gained the positive response and praise from the visitors. The new wood design, natural grain, new installation type are all attractive. Beside normal floor items, People are interested in "Fishbone joint type"," Luxury parquet style", "More Rustic style with natural knots", "Wide color variation style". We believe the taste of customer are changing to more nature appreciation and individualization.
